Welcome to DATA202 - Introduction to Machine Learning!
Catalog Description: FA. A conceptual and practical introduction to machine learning. Students will develop workflows for acquiring, cleaning, transforming, and joining tabular data, and apply both supervised and unsupervised learning methods to real-world problems. Emphasis is placed on selecting appropriate models, validating and interpreting results, and engaging critically with issues of fairness, bias, and interpretability in machine learning systems. Prerequisite: CS 104, CS 106, or CS 108. Lab fee.
