Objectives

This opening week introduces the basic concepts and practices of data science, with an emphasis on the data toolset. On completion, students will be able to:

• Explain the value and basic concepts of data science.
• Investigate a simple dataset using Python in RStudio.
• Present a replicable, reproducible analysis using Quarto.
• Write basic programs in Python
